The challenge wasn’t just to design a modular typeface—but to bring it to life through a full visual identity. The goal was to create a system that felt playful yet refined, and then build a digital space where people could experience that personality through animation, layout, and interaction.

CUTOUT is a modular serif typeface crafted from just three repeated shapes. Inspired by mosaics and stencils, its playful rhythm emerges from intentional spacing and rotation—inviting the brain to fill in the gaps. Rounded edges and soft spacing give it a youthful, airy aesthetic. A custom-built mini website in Figma animates the type's personality and acts as a living brand system, extending its character beyond the page.
